Respiree raises Series A funding to scale health monitoring AI

Respiree, a health tech company founded in Singapore, has raised USD 11.6 million in a Series A funding round co-led by We Venture Capital and ClavystBio. Other participants include Adaptive Capital Partners, Mayo Clinic’s Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research, Greenwillow Capital Management, Seeds Capital, and She1K.

The company’s platform, 1Bio, integrates electronic health records, wearable sensors, and artificial intelligence to deliver real-time monitoring and predictive alerts for patient deterioration. Respiree’s flagship AI model, developed in partnership with the Mayo Clinic, has demonstrated significantly higher predictive accuracy than existing hospital tools. It is currently under review by the US Food and Drug Administration.

The funding will accelerate Respiree’s commercial entry into the US, support team expansion, and enable pilot deployments across the Asia Pacific through a partnership with Roche Diagnostics. The company also intends to expand into new markets including Thailand and the Gulf region.

HeyMax acquires Krip to expand loyalty platform regionally

HeyMax, a Singapore-based loyalty and travel rewards startup, has acquired Krip, a Hong Kong fintech platform specializing in credit card benefits and loyalty deals. The financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition brings Krip’s network of over 6,000 offers and 3,000 merchant partners into the HeyMax ecosystem, significantly boosting the company’s presence in Hong Kong. It marks HeyMax’s first acquisition and paves the way for a formal entry into the city’s consumer rewards market.

Krip founder David Wang will join HeyMax as global head of loyalty partnerships and general manager for Hong Kong. The Krip brand will be retired, with users transitioning to the HeyMax platform.

HeyMax is backed by investors including January Capital, Monk’s Hill Ventures, Tenity, Ascend Angels, and XA Network.

Everlab secures USD 10 million to scale AI-powered preventive health platform

Everlab, an Australian health tech startup, has secured USD 10 million in seed funding led by Left Lane Capital. The capital will support international growth and continued development of its preventive care platform.

Everlab offers a membership-based service combining advanced diagnostics, digital consultations, and continuous personalized insights. Its core membership includes full-body MRI scans, blood tests, electrocardiogram, glucose monitoring, and other health checks, integrated into a longitudinal care system powered by agentic AI. The AI agents automate clinical summaries, identify early risk markers, and deliver tailored interventions.

Recent deals completed in China:

  • Tachin, a developer of flexible tactile sensing systems, has raised an eight-figure RMB sum in an angel funding round exclusively backed by Zhaowei Machinery & Electronics. The capital will go toward R&D and product iteration, capacity expansion, and supply chain optimization. Founded in 2020, Tachin operates subsidiaries in Shenzhen and Guangzhou and a tech lab in Silicon Valley. 36Kr
  • Siramic Technology, a semiconductor materials company, has secured a high seven-figure RMB sum in an angel plus round. The funding was jointly provided by Jinqiao Fund, Tsinghua Innovation Ventures, Shangshi Fund, and Xici Zhongyou. The company will use the funds to support working capital for its synthetic quartz sand production line. Established in 2019, Siramic develops third- and fourth-generation semiconductor powder materials including aluminum nitride, silicon carbide, and synthetic quartz. 36Kr
  • Green Synenergy, a green aviation fuel producer, has closed a nearly RMB 100 million pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Roton Capital, with participation from Delian Capital, Linear Capital, and financial advisor Six Sigma Capital. The company will allocate the capital toward the construction of its first self-operated factory and operating cash flow. Founded in 2023, the company uses Fischer-Tropsch synthesis to convert agricultural and municipal waste into sustainable aviation fuel. 36Kr
  • SpinQ, a quantum computing company, has raised a nine-figure RMB sum in a Series B funding round. The investors include CCB Private Equity, Liangxi Science and Technology Innovation Fund, Star Sky Investment, Hua Qiang Capital, and Royal Sunward. The company will use the capital to upgrade its technology, deepen application development, and expand globally. 36Kr
  • Zeron, an electric heavy truck manufacturer, has raised RMB 500 million (USD 70 million) in a Series A funding round co-led by Momenta, Xinghang Venture Capital, and Cherish Capital. Other backers include Guofa Wenxin, Loudong Industrial Fund, Deying Capital, Xinjing Fuying, Vision Plus Capital, Caitong Capital, Ondine Capital, and existing shareholder Skyview Fund. Proceeds will be used to scale production of Zeron’s platform and expand autonomous freight deployments. 36Kr

Augmentus, Origgin Capital, Geniebook, and more made recent headlines:

  • Augmentus, a Singapore-based developer of no-code robotics systems, secured USD 11 million in a Series A+ funding round. The round was led by Woori Venture Partners, with participation from new investor EDBI and existing backers Sierra Ventures and Cocoon Capital.
  • Origgin Capital, the investment arm of Origgin Ventures, launched a second fund targeting SGD 30 million (USD 23.3 million) to back university spinoffs across Asia. The fund aims to support up to 50 early-stage deep tech startups.
  • Geniebook, a Singapore-based edtech firm, acquired AfterSkool and Best Physics Tuition, signaling a move to blend artificial intelligence-driven online learning with physical education centers.
